ABOUT THE DISTRICT
The Sanford Water District serves the City of Sanford (including the Village of Springvale) Maine. The District is a Quasi-Municipal entity with a three member board of trustees.

The Sanford Water District has historically pumped an average of 2.6 million gallons per day, with a peak production of approximately 3.5 million gallons per day in the Summer. Consumption has dropped in recent years, however, and the average pumpage of the District is now a little under 2 million gallons per day. The District has approximately 6,000 service connections.

Nine well sources located in different areas within the town of Sanford supply the system with groundwater.

Our mission is to provide safe, abundant, and affordable water to the residents of Sanford and Springvale.
TRUSTEES MEETINGS
The Sanford Water District Trustees normally meet at 4:00 PM on the second Tuesday of every month at the District office located at 243 River Street. If you wish to attend a meeting please call the District to assure that the meeting has not been canceled, rescheduled, or moved to a different location.

The next regular meeting of the Trustees will be held on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the District office on River Street. If you wish to attend, please call the office at 324-2312 for information on attend the meeting.
